Dragonball the movie in 2009

Dragonball, the famous Japanese manga which has conquered the world youth since more than two decades, is going to be adapted to the cinema in a live action trilogy film.

A Hollywoodian budget of US$100 million (for the first movie) will flow to adapt the Dragonball franchise.

The first film is directed by James Wong, produced by Stephen Chow (see CJ7) and is starring Justin Chatwin as Goku and James Marsters in the role of the evil Piccolo.

The movie should be released in April 2009.

I'm really happy to hear about Dragonball the movie. The anime was so funny to watch:

Let's hope that this adaptation won't be too different from the original plot and that it will keep its humor.
